RIAC Pioneer Run
The 10th RIAC Pioneer Run will take place on Saturday and Sunday 24th and 25th May, based at Barberstown Castle near Maynooth. As usual the event caters for three classes:
Brighton Class for cars manufactured before 31.1.2014
Centenary Class for cars 1905 to 1914
Motorcycle class up to 1914
The Saturday 'shake-down' Run will culminate with a display of the cars in Dunboyne village, courtesy of the Dunboyne Motor Club.
The Pioneer Run itself takes place over a 55 mile course on Sunday 25th May starting at 10.00 am and finishing at Barberstown Castle Hotel.
This unique event is well worth seeing and a visit is highly recommended.
RIAC Classic Car Run
This year our RIAC Classic Car Run will start at Weston Aerodrome on sat, May 24th, at 10.30 am and finish at Dunboyne village just before 3.00 pm where the participants will join the display of cars from the Pioneer Run.
Picnic in the Park
This years popular Picnic in the Park will take place in Marley Park, Rathfarnham, on Wednesday June 11th from 4.00 pm to 8.30 pm. Owners of Classic cars of all ages are welcome to display their cars in aid of our charity, LauraLynn House. This year there's a twist to the event as we're hoping to set an Irish record for the number of open-topped cars assembled in one place. So if you've got an open-topped car, be sure to bring it along and join in the fun! Musical entertainment will once again be provided by the Mellowchords and our celebrity judges will be choosing the vehicles they would most like to take home with them, with awards being presented at 7.30 pm. Entries to Robin McCullagh, 14 Knocksinna Crescent, Foxrock, Dublin 18.
