The 63rd running of the Cork Veteran Run took place last Saturday and after a rather overcast start, at Keary’s BMW in Little Island, warm sunshine followed the 80, or so, crews for the remainder of the day.  Alan Cavanagh prepared a most enjoyable morning’s run that passed thro’ Glounthaune, onto Rathcormac, Ballyhooley, on past the old rustic bridge by the mill to the rest halt at Springfort Hall at New Twopothouse.

Entrants, including a 1913 Triumph 3.5hp and a 1910 White GA then headed back at a leisurely pace to the Brook Inn in Glanmire for prize-giving via Doneraile, Kilavullen, Whitechurch & Carrignavar.  Feedback was very positive and entrants took full advantage of the good weather to enjoy a most scenic morning & afternoon route.
